Team: NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability
Role:
Creative director, messaging, social media strategy, and video producer
Year: 2020

On April 22, 2020 — the 50th anniversary of Earth Day — New York City and the rest of the world were hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. With death tolls and cases surging every day, our team understood that climate actions could not be separated from COVID-19 relief efforts. We created the Earth Day 50 campaign to call on New Yorkers to take care of each other as we build towards a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Social Media Launch

A social media toolkit was sent out to New York City agencies, amplifiers, and our partners. The toolkit includes graphics with alt-text, educational videos, and sample messaging that leads the audience back to the campaign website and Earth Day calls to action.
