Artist Chi Nguyen is partnering with Katharine Daugherty, Director and Co-Founder of the local Drop Forge & Tool, to create a community quilt that demonstrates public support and raises awareness for the important services provided by Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood (UHPP). The quilt visually represents the different communities across Columbia and Greene counties that UHPP serves daily in order to make it clear for local and federal lawmakers that their constituents stand with UHPP. The quilt will be shown to members of Congress when they are home for the August Recess. Festival attendees are invited to join the quilting process. All materials will be provided and quilting lessons are held throughout the festival. All skill levels are welcome. (free)
